The sound of rock
Original songs range from driving guitar-led numbers to intimate ballads and soaring duets. A live band is supported by recorded orchestral arrangements, giving the music both immediacy and scale.

AN ORIGINAL STAGE EXPERIENCE
Rock music. Musical theatre. Dance.
01 / THE SHOW
Next Gen Rock brings the energy of a rock concert into a theatrical story about the search for love.
Seventeen original songs tell a story of desire, heartbreak and second chances, brought to life through powerful voices, orchestral arrangements, expressive choreography and large-scale visuals.
At its heart are three musicians who write and perform love songs—but are still discovering what love means in their own lives. Around them, four women bring their own hopes, passions and choices.
Music gives each character a voice. Dance reveals what words cannot express. Together, they take the audience from the excitement of attraction through the pain of separation to the possibility of starting again.
02 / THE STORY
David takes refuge in music after a painful breakup. Chaz hides a romantic imagination behind his sharp humour. Wings follows his heart, searching for a connection that allows him to remain himself.
Their private lives become the subject of a relentless tabloid journalist’s questions. But behind the headlines are people trying to understand the difference between attraction and connection, fantasy and reality, holding on and letting go.
Elizabeth, Jasmine, Rain and Erika each have their own perspective. They challenge the musicians’ assumptions, pursue their own desires and decide what they are willing to give—and what they refuse to lose.
Love becomes something they must experience rather than explain.

03 / THE EXPERIENCE
Original songs range from driving guitar-led numbers to intimate ballads and soaring duets. A live band is supported by recorded orchestral arrangements, giving the music both immediacy and scale.
Seven vocal characters bring distinct personalities and perspectives to an interconnected story. Each song reveals a feeling, changes a relationship or opens a new possibility.
Each singer has a dance counterpart who translates the character’s inner world into movement. Attraction, hesitation, conflict and reconciliation unfold physically alongside the music.
Large screens, lighting and lasers extend the storytelling, connecting the performers with a changing visual world.
04 / MEET THE CHARACTERS
Meet each character through a portrait,
a glimpse of their story and a short
sample of their music.
01Sensitive and intense, David turns to music after losing Elizabeth. He tries to move forward, but the past refuses to release him. When she returns, he must decide whether to protect his heart or risk loving her again.
02LISTEN TO CHAZ · 3 SONGS
Practical, witty and dependable, Chaz is the glue that holds the band together. Beneath his confidence is a romantic searching for someone who can turn the love he imagines into something real.
03Independent and curious, Wings welcomes whatever life brings. He believes in love at first sight, but wants a relationship that leaves room for both people to be themselves.
04Elizabeth is David’s former love: emotional, thoughtful and pulled between longing and doubt. Their reunion brings unfinished feelings to the surface. Can they move beyond old patterns and give their relationship another chance?
05Warm, direct and passionate, Jasmine cares for David but cannot replace the woman he still remembers. Her story is about recognising the limits of a relationship—and finding the strength to choose herself.
06Dreamy and sensual, Rain brings tenderness and a sense of wonder to the story. Her music expresses the vulnerability of opening her heart and sharing her world with someone else.
07Confident and spontaneous, Erika follows her own path. She brings playful energy, bold desire and an independence that challenges anyone who tries to define her.
08 / NARRATORTHE SPOKEN NARRATOR
An irreverent tabloid journalist, Jacko wants to uncover the truth about rock musicians and their love lives. His questions connect the stories, provoke uncomfortable admissions and bring humour to the search for answers.
Jacko is the show’s spoken narrator, guiding the audience between its musical moments.
Available samples play on demand. More character and ensemble recordings will follow. Character portraits and stage imagery are production concepts.
