PAGANINI ROCKS

PAGANINI ROCKS — two artists, two eras

Two eras. Two virtuosos.
One musical obsession.

A contemporary guitarist is drawn into Paganini’s world, where music becomes a bridge between two eras — and forces him to discover his own voice.

PAGANINI. REIMAGINED.

The past meets
the pulse of today.

What happens when the virtuosity of the past collides with the sound, energy and intensity of today?

PAGANINI ROCKS is a contemporary theatrical music project where the world of Niccolò Paganini meets rock guitar, symphonic power and modern visual storytelling.

At its center is not simply a fusion of violin and guitar, but a story about artistic identity, obsession, legacy and the need to find an original voice.

True art is timeless.
But every generation must find its own voice.

THE STORY

To find greatness.
To find himself.

Alex is a gifted contemporary guitarist — technically brilliant, ambitious and driven by the desire to become extraordinary.

Then Paganini enters his world.

At first, Paganini represents everything Alex admires: impossible virtuosity, artistic freedom, mystery and the power to electrify an audience. But fascination becomes something deeper.

Across centuries, music creates a connection between the two artists. Paganini’s presence begins to challenge Alex’s understanding of talent, success and originality.

The closer Alex moves toward the legend, the greater the danger of losing himself inside it.

Ultimately, his journey is not about becoming another Paganini. It is about discovering who Alex is.

Fascination. Connection. Obsession. Conflict. Transformation.

And finally — his own voice.

PAGANINI · THE MAN BEHIND THE MYTH

Before rock.
There was a legend.

Long before amplifiers, Paganini made virtuosity a public spectacle. His Vienna appearances in 1828 helped launch the European tours that turned a celebrated violinist into an international sensation.

Portraits, stage prints and caricatures reveal more than a musician: they show a public image taking shape. Admirers celebrated a modern Orpheus; others surrounded his talent with rumours of the supernatural.

In PAGANINI ROCKS, that distance between the artist and the legend becomes Alex’s dilemma. Is he learning from Paganini — or disappearing into someone else’s image?

The past is an inspiration.
A voice must still be your own.

Historical prints meet an imagined contemporary stage. The archive informs the project’s themes; Alex’s encounter is a theatrical fiction.

THE MUSIC

Where virtuosity
meets rock.

The musical language of PAGANINI ROCKS brings together the fire of Paganini’s virtuosity with the physical energy of contemporary rock and the scale of a symphonic orchestra.

At the heart of the score is a confrontation — and a conversation — between two instruments from two different worlds:

violin and electric guitar.

A high-voltage musical dialogue in which violin and rock guitar trade fire, challenge one another and eventually become part of the same musical language.

This is not classical music placed over a rock beat. It is a world in which the two musical languages collide, transform one another and create something theatrical, dramatic and alive.

TWO CENTURIES. ONE STAGE.

Two realities.
One theatrical world.

The visual world of PAGANINI ROCKS moves freely between past and present.

Paganini’s nineteenth century is not recreated as a museum piece. It exists through Alex’s contemporary perception — fragmented, heightened and transformed by music.

Historical imagery, concert energy, cinematic projection, theatrical light and contemporary stage technology allow the two realities to merge.

At certain moments we are in Alex’s world. At others, in Paganini’s. And sometimes it becomes impossible to tell where one ends and the other begins.

MORE THAN VIRTUOSITY

Beyond imitation.

Paganini became a legend because audiences believed they were witnessing something almost impossible. But extraordinary technique alone does not make an artist.

PAGANINI ROCKS explores the line between virtuosity and identity — between mastering someone else’s language and creating your own.

It asks a question every generation of artists eventually faces:

How do you learn from greatness without becoming trapped inside it?

Because influence can inspire. Admiration can ignite. But eventually, every true artist has to step beyond imitation.

BETWEEN INFLUENCE AND IDENTITY

A TIMELESS MUSICAL OBSESSION

The legend.
The mirror.

Extreme talent. Fame. Image.
Competition. Public fascination.
The pressure to be exceptional.

Paganini lived more than two centuries ago, yet the mythology surrounding him feels strikingly contemporary.

Today, artists live in a world where comparison is constant and influence is everywhere. That makes Alex’s struggle deeply contemporary.

He doesn’t simply want to play brilliantly. He wants to understand what makes his music his own.

And that is why Paganini becomes more than a historical character. He becomes Alex’s inspiration, rival, mirror — and ultimately the force that pushes him toward artistic independence.

CREATOR’S VISION

Finding an
original voice.

PAGANINI ROCKS is my vision of what happens when the virtuosity of the past meets contemporary orchestral energy and the power of rock.

I was interested not simply in bringing Paganini into a modern musical environment, but in exploring something deeper: the relationship between influence and originality.

Every artist begins by being inspired by somebody. But there comes a moment when admiration is no longer enough.

You have to find the courage to leave your influences behind and discover your own language.

For me, that is the real story of PAGANINI ROCKS.
